Habitat:
Barbitistes ocskayi inhabits nearly all grove-rich habitats from deciduous or sclerophyllous woodlands (especially oaks) to bushy grasslands.
Life cycle:
The adults occur early between May and July. Later often only a few single individuals can be still observed. Barbitistes ocskayi can be very numerous. When disturbed, the animals let themselves often fall from the twigs.
Remarks:
Barbitistes ocskayi occurs from NE-Italy (Trieste) across the Adria-near Balkan Peninsula to Greece (Peloponnese).
